Puig Inks Lease at Rockefeller Center
The company will occupy an entire floor at 45 Rock.
Spanish fashion and beauty manufacturer Puig is relocating its New York City offices to the Rockefeller Center, signing a 25,000-square-foot lease with Tishman Speyer.
The tenant will move from a 12,762-square-foot space at 183 Madison Ave., to occupy the entire 32nd floor at the historic location. Completed in 1935, the 40-story tower comprises 1.4 million square feet, according to CommercialEdge data.
Other tenants at the property feature a mix of financial and law firms, according to the same data provider. Puig brands operating out of the new location include Paco Rabanne, Jean Paul Gaultier, Dries Van Noten and L’Artisan Parfumeur.
Located at 45 Rockefeller Plaza, also known by its 630 Fifth Ave. address, the building is in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. It is situated near Central Park and within walking distance of the Empire State Building. It is also close to the 33rd Street Subway Station.
As of April, Manhattan’s vacancy rate stood at 16.5 percent, marking a 210-basis-point increase on a year-over-year basis, according to CommercialEdge research. Since the beginning of 2023, a number of significant commitments were made in the borough, one of the most notable being Microsoft’s relocation to 122 Fifth Ave., the company inking a 150,000-square-foot lease.
