Megaprojects thrive in Phoenix

Phoenix continued to top the rankings for industrial development, with more than 51 million square feet underway as of August, a recent CommercialEdge report shows.

Several large projects broke ground in recent months, such as Lincoln Property Co.’s Luke Field, in Glendale, Ariz. The $515 million, Class A development is set to encompass 2.4 million square feet of space. Luke Field is expected to come online in late 2024.

Another megaproject is ViaWest Group’s The Base, a 144-acre industrial development in the same area. Developed together with Willmeng Construction, the first phase will comprise seven buildings totaling 1.2 million square feet.
