Louisville, Ky.—Concord Hospitality Enterprises, a hotel management and development company, has recently announced its plans to open the first AC Hotel by Marriott in Kentucky.

The 152-key AC Hotel Nulu in downtown Louisville, which is slated to break ground in the first quarter of 2017, will be situated on the northwestern corner of Shelby and Market streets. According to The Courier-Journal, the 92,000-square-foot, 6-story hotel will feature an approximately 200-spot parking garage.

Development will be led by 725 Partnership, a local company. Meyers & Associates Architecture are in charge of design, brokensidewalk.com reports. Steve Kersey of local architecture firm Kersey & Kersey is also working on the project.

AC Hotel Nulu appeals to design-conscious travelers who “prefer urban and metro locations that provide guests easy, walkable access to arts and entertainment, restaurants, shops and galleries, as is the case with Louisville’s popular Nulu district,” said Ryan Maher, director of business development for Concord, in prepared remarks.
