AC Hotels by Marriott Lands in Mexico
The 188-key hotel is the brand's first Mexico location.
Guadalajara—The opening of AC Hotel Guadalajara, Jalisco was celebrated with a launching party hosted by English photographer Nigel Barker. The event incorporated various elements of local culture and entertainment, marking the Spanish brand’s first foray into Mexico.
FibraHotel, a Mexican trust which works with business-class hotels is also the developer and owner of the 188-key property operated by Marriott International. AC Hotels’ aim is to follow the vision of traditional Spanish architecture and design, while expanding globally with more than 90 hotels in various European countries, Brazil, Mexico and the United States.
“AC Hotels’ rapidly growing portfolio illustrates Marriott International’s commitment to making distinctive architecture and design affordable and accessible for creatives, innovators and entrepreneurs around the world,” Toni Stoeckl, vice president of lifestyle brands for Marriott International, said in prepared remarks.
The Sordo Madaleno Architects-designed property offers a poolside lounge and a 12th floor swimming pool, a fitness center, library, complimentary Wi-Fi and a fast way of getting a staff member’s help provided by wireless service buttons (Kallpods) located in public and meeting spaces.
Three more AC Hotels will open in the coming months in Mexico City, Mexico; Panama City, Panama; and Santiago, Chile.
