St. Louis—Aclara, a global supplier of smart infrastructure technologies to water, gas and electric utilities, is relocating its corporate headquarters to Westport Plaza in St. Louis. The company will occupy 63,000 square feet of space at 77 Westport Plaza.
The move is scheduled to occur in the spring of 2017 and will include Aclara’s corporate offices, as well as its research, development and testing lab. The company is currently located in Hazelwood, Mo., a suburb of St. Louis.
“Aclara is widely recognized as a leader in smart infrastructure solutions for utilities across North America and other parts of the world. Our new corporate headquarters at Westport Plaza will provide the space, flexibility, location, and collaborative environment that reflect our needs as an innovative company with an increased global presence. With a total of 900,000 square feet in the complex, Westport Plaza also provides access to additional space should our continued growth require expanded facilities,” Kurt Bruenning, CFO of Aclara, said in prepared remarks.
“We are pleased to welcome Aclara as a future tenant of Westport Plaza. With the addition of Aclara, the complex is more than 90 percent leased with a daytime population of more than 5,000 people,” added Craig Cobler, senior vice president of development for Lodging Hospitality Management, which manages Westport Plaza.
Michael Cummings, Grant Rich and Tony Kennedy, real estate consultants of Colliers International, represented Aclara. Piers Pritchard, managing director of Cushman & Wakefield, was the broker.
