Following the sale of Townsgate Road, an 84,098-square-foot office building in Los Angeles, Kilroy Realty Corp. has signed a long-term lease with Apple, which will fully occupy 333 Dexter, a 635,000-square-foot campus in the heart of South Lake Union in Seattle. Scheduled for completion in late 2019, the two-tower project marks KRC’s first ground-up development in Seattle.

In a press event held at 333 Dexter on June 24, Apple confirmed its plans to hire more than 2,000 employees in the city over the next five years. The new positions will include both hardware and software jobs.

Located at 333 Dexter Ave. N., near Dexter Avenue and Highway 99, 333 Dexter is close to Seattle’s Space Needle and provides convenient access to global technology and life science innovators, such as Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Amazon and UW Medicine.

The office complex comprises two LEED Platinum 12-story towers that can house as many as 4,500 employees. The property offers three podium floors, with 62,000 square feet of flexible floor plates, as well as 15,000 square feet of first-floor retail space. Other amenities include a two-floor bike facility with 128 lockers, 12 showers and 340 bike racks directly accessible from the street level.
