Endeavor Real Estate finalized a $7 million lobby improvement at 600 Congress, a trophy building located at the corner of 6th and Congress Avenue, in downtown Austin, Texas. The 504,221-square-foot stair step designed property is situated midway between the State Capitol complex and Lady Bird Lake.

Rios Clementi Hale Studios handled the design of the mixed-use building, specifically the architecture, interior and furnishing updates to the 22,237-square-foot lobby and added amenity space. The lobby with its five-story, naturally lit atrium has been architecturally enhanced to become a communal gathering spot and stimulate collaboration between the building tenants and their patrons.

“600 Congress is an opportunity to redefine the market of a workplace in downtown Austin with amenities that make a workplace great. The design acknowledges that work happens everywhere and creates dynamic social gathering and meeting spaces that reflect today’s contemporary work culture,” Andy Lantz, senior associate at Rios Clementi Hale Studios, said in prepared remarks.

New amenities & art

New amenities include new facings on interior retail, bike storage and a fitness center. Existing amenities at the property include rooftop suites terraces, food and financial retailers, onsite property management, mobile concierge and ample parking accessible from 7th Street. “Gueros,” a mural belonging to local artist Sari Shryack, has been placed on the plaza as a tribute to being situated within Austin’s creative center.
