Avison Young Closes $10M Office Sale in Miami Area

Avison Young has brokered the sale of a two-building office/industrial portfolio in Plantation, Fla. The firm’s Principals David Duckworth, John Crotty and Michael Fay, together with Senior Associate Brian de la Fé and Associate Berkley Bloodworth, arranged the transaction on behalf of seller COFE Properties. IMC Equity Group purchased the property for $9.8 million. Last week, the same Avison Young team facilitated the sale of two value-add office buildings in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Situated at 1700 and 1800 N.W. 66th Ave. within the Plantation Technology Park, the two structures are roughly 2 miles from downtown Plantation, near Freeway 838. The properties also provide convenient access to Fort Lauderdale and the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International airport, which is approximately 14 miles away.
Built in 1980 and 1978, the single-story buildings occupy 7.9 acres and feature 42,026 and 57,680 square feet floorplates, according to Yardi Matrix data. Additional characteristics include controlled access, below standard ceiling heights and a total of 387 parking spaces, Yardi Matrix data shows. Tenants of the buildings include Cadogan Tate Miami, Broward County Department of Revenue and BrightStar Credit Union.
