Veteran commercial real estate broker Phil Barry has joined Avison Young’s brokerage operations in Atlanta. He will serve as a principal and member of the office properties group, providing a range of real estate services ranging from investment sales and acquisitioins to build-to-suit development and landlord and tenant leasing.
Most recently Barry was senior vice president of private capital markets at Grubb & Ellis in Atlanta. While with the firm, he was repeatedly recognized as a top producer and named to its Circle of Excellence. An associate member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, he holds an undergraduate degree in industrial technology from Iowa State University.
Barry has worked in investment sales, acquisitions, tenant representation, development and project leasing of commercial real estate in the Southeast since 1971. He has a deep background in the development of significant mixed-use developments.
His past clients include Kaiser Permanente, Room & Board, BCD Travel, and Liberty Mutual.
