Big Tex Storage is developing a 100,000-square-foot self-storage facility in Oak Forest, Houston. The premier asset in the Garden Oaks community will open in June 2018 and will offer climate-controlled storage units for personal and business use.

The state-of-the-art development at 3480 Ella Blvd. will include storage spaces ranging from 25 to 300 square feet with individual door alarms for increased security. The property will feature 40 surveillance cameras recording on-site activity on a 24-hour basis, as well as monitors on every floor and digitally controlled access.

Big Tex will offer the same amenities that can be found at other self-storage facilities in their portfolio, including convenient on-site packing and moving supply store, complimentary truck rental, use of dollies and platform trucks, but also flexible month-to-month rental agreements. The Garden Oaks location will also provide a cover loading area to compliment rain or shine move-in experiences. The property is being built on a lot shared with Ella Plaza and will be the first development in the area with a pedestrian realm along W 34th ½ Street, updated landscaping and new sidewalks.

“Houstonians want to be a part of this community thanks to its beautiful tree-lined lots, top-rated schools and fun neighborhood restaurants and bars. It’s no wonder it was named one of Houston’s ’Hottest-of-the-Hot Neighborhoods’ in 2016,” Bobby Grover, owner of Big Tex, said in a prepared statement.
