Canopy Health Moves HQ to CBRE-Owned Bay Area Office

The company is expected to occupy its new location by May 2022.

Canopy Health will move its headquarters to a 349,300-square-foot office building at 2100 Powell St., in Emeryville, Calif. The company is expected to occupy 13,049 square feet on the sixth floor, beginning May 2022. CBRE‘s Oakland office represented the landlord, CBRE Investment Management, while JLL worked on behalf of the tenant.

Relocating from 6475 Christie Ave. in Emeryville, Canopy Health is a physician and hospital-owned medical alliance providing affordable care across the Bay Area through various partnerships. As part of the lease agreement, the company will have freeway-facing signage at the building. Tenants will also have access to CBRE’s tenant experience program, Above & Beyond for Business, which includes an on-site concierge, as well as the Host mobile app, which creates an employee-centric workplace experience.

A great place for life sciences

Located at 2100 Powell St., the LEED Gold certified office building is just west of Interstates 80 and 580, bordering the San Francisco Bay. The building’s amenities include an indoor and outdoor community space with a kitchen and conference area, a fitness center and a garage with more than 900 spaces. The parking ratio is 2.58 spaces per 1000 square feet, according to CommercialEdge data.

Another tenant at 2100 Powell St., f’real foods, signed a long-term lease for 8,300 square feet on the seventh floor of the building at the beginning of the year, Connect CRE reported.

The Bay Area life sciences market continues to thrive, making it a hotbed for investment. Earlier this week, a joint venture of BentallGreenOak and Graymark Capital acquired a 230,000-square-foot life science campus in San Carlos, Calif., for $190 million.
