Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group Signs New Radisson RED in Downtown Portland

Portland, Ore.—Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group recently announced the signing of a new Radisson RED in Portland. The new-build hotel will occupy the first eight floors of the 19-story Broadway Tower mixed-use building, slated to break ground this summer at the southwest corner of SW. Broadway and SW. Columbia streets. The hotel is expected to open in mid-2018.

We identify talent and train them with a unique approach to service so that our staff can provide a more holistic experience. Unlike traditional hotels, RED doesn’t have a front desk and uses technology to simplify the experience and provide efficiencies including keyless guest room entry. RED will deliver something truly unique to the marketplace.”

Guests at Radisson RED will get to choose from 180 rooms that feature a Scandinavian-inspired design. The hotel will build flow between spaces, removing walls that separate areas such as the lobby, restaurants, bars and meeting spaces. Furthermore, the hotel uses an app for keyless entry which also enables the option to order food and services. OUIBAR and KTCHN, the brand’s signature food and beverage outlets, will be part of the project.

Broadway Tower will generate over 1,700 direct and induced jobs, from entry level in the hotel to ‘C’ Level in the office.”
