CBRE Expands East Bay Industrial Group
Kevin Hatcher joins as senior vice president of industrial and logistics in Oakland, Calif. He has more than 500 lease and sale transactions in excess of $3 billion under his belt.
CBRE appointed Kevin Hatcher as senior vice president of industrial and logistics in Oakland, Calif. Hatcher will work closely with professionals in the firm’s East Bay Industrial group, including Bob Ferraro and Mike Barry. He will report to David Brennan, senior managing director of CBRE’s Sacramento, Central Valley and Northern Nevada offices, who also leads CBRE’s industrial and logistics practice in Northern California and the Pacific Northwest.
“With the Oakland industrial market ending quarter two 2017 with a record low vacancy rate at 1.7 percent, and the market maintaining an 18-quarter streak of positive net absorption, continued construction and increased demand demonstrate both tenants’ and investors’ confidence in the strength of the market,” said Brennan in prepared remarks. The average U.S. industrial availability rate dropped 10 basis points to 7.8 percent in the second quarter, marking the lowest level since the first quarter of 2001, according to a recent CBRE report.
Seasoned professional
Hatcher has advised owners, developers and occupiers on site selection, feasibility and valuation strategies. He has experience in all facets of the real estate asset cycle, including identifying target assets, providing financial modeling, analysis and entitling, marketing, leasing and selling investor and occupier assets. Hatcher has completed more than 500 lease and sale transactions with a total consideration exceeding $3 billion. His clients included The Sobrato Organization, Overton Moore, LaSalle Investment Management, Industrial Property Trust, Stockbridge, Terreno Realty Corp., Prologis, Clarion Partners and Westcore Properties.
Hatcher joins from Colliers International, where he served as executive vice president. Prior to joining Colliers in 2009, Hatcher was a principal with ACF Partners and vice president of institutional sales at Credit Suisse First Boston in both its New York and San Francisco offices.
Hatcher has earned SIOR designation and is a member of NAIOP. He currently serves as president of the East Bay Brokers Association. Hatcher has held National Association of Securities Dealers Series 7/Series 63 certifications. Hatcher is a graduate of University of California, Berkeley.
