CBRE Group Inc. has announced the opening of a new office on the 18th floor of Eleven Eleven Broadway in the core of downtown Oakland’s central business district. The new 9,800-square-foot office in the 24-story, Class A building is part of CBRE’s global “Workplace360” initiative, the company’s workplace strategy designed to promote flexibility, mobility and productivity through technology-enabled, 100 percent free-address and paperless offices.
CBRE’s previous Oakland office was located on the 9th floor at 555 12th St. This new location marks CBRE’s third of its seven Bay Area offices to be converted to Workplace360, following Palo Alto in March 2016 and the San Jose office in July 2016. The new space will have no assigned desks and eight different types of space to enhance collaboration and productivity: offices for a day, focus rooms, workstations, huddle rooms, interactive conference rooms, open team areas, touchdown space and a central collaboration hub including a media wall and a café. Mobility will be enhanced thanks to wireless technology including “plug and play” work stations with sit-stand desks and “follow me” phones allowing employees to receive phone calls to their direct line from any location.
Located at 1111 Broadway directly over the 12th Street BART station, the LEED Gold certified office building offers quick access to freeways 980, 880 and 580. Built in 1990, the 552,100-square-foot property also features a restaurant and coffee shop on the ground floor.
