CBRE Taps New Executive Managing Director
Following John Germano's retirement in December, Kyle Schoppmann will take up the executive role, bringing more than 20 years of experience in sales strategy, training and professional development.
CBRE has promoted Kyle Schoppmann to executive managing director and market leader for the Greater Washington, D.C., and Baltimore area, effective January 1, 2018. She will replace John Germano, who will retire at the end of the year.
“Kyle is a true servant-leader, highly focused on caring for both our external and internal clients. She knows our company and our diverse business lines extremely well and is an expert at integrating our talented professionals with CBRE’s differentiated platform to drive growth and produce exceptional client outcomes,” CBRE Southeast Division President John Ferguson said in a prepared statement.
Prior experience
Schoppmann has 20 years of experience in sales strategy, training and professional development. She currently serves as Manhattan market leader and head of occupier services for CBRE’s New York Tri-State Region. Additionally, she is executive sponsor of the firm’s Tri-State Women’s Network and co-leads CBRE’s diversity strategy in the Americas. Prior to that, she coordinated a global team at IBM dealing with sales and marketing strategies, enterprise software development and execution, business process improvement and change management. She was also a consulting partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
The newly appointed executive holds a B.S. degree in civil engineering from Duke University and an MBA in finance from the University of Michigan. She is also a board member of both the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council and the British American Business.
Schoppmann’s promotion follows Jack Howard‘s appointment in September as executive vice president of the firm’s National Loan & Portfolio Sale Advisors branch in its New York office.
