CEO Duties for Loews Hotels Go Back to Jonathan Tisch
Tisch will continue to serve as chairman of Loews Hotels and co-chairman of the Board for Loews Corporation.
New York—Loews Hotels has recently announced that Jonathan Tisch will resume the responsibilities of CEO, after Kirk Kinsell decided to resign for personal reasons. Tisch will also carry on as chairman of Loews Hotels and co-chairman of the board for Loews Corp.
“Loews Hotels has never been stronger. During Kirk’s tenure as CEO, there have been many positive changes at Loews Hotels and we fully intend to build on that success. We’ve added top talent to our already strong bench, expanded our network of hotels and continued to improve our operations and profitability,” said Tisch in prepared remarks.
Tisch initiated the Loews Hotels Good Neighbor Policy in 1990, the first of its kind in the hospitality industry. The program underlines his devotion to good corporate citizenship and social responsibility. He is also a trustee of the Trufts University and the founding member of the Travel Business Roundtable, but now serving as chairman emeritus of its successor organization, the United States Travel Association.
New York-based Loews Hotels has three brands—Loews Hotels & Resorts, Loews Regency and OE Collection. The company operates 25 hotels and resorts across the U.S. and Canada, such as the recently purchased Hotel 1000 in Seattle, rebranding in 2017 into a Loews Regency.
