Cohesity Expands Silicon Valley Footprint With New Lease
The data storage technology firm inked for more than 60,000 square feet at RiverPark Tower, in the heart of San Jose.
Cohesity has signed a 60,183-square-foot lease with DivcoWest and Rockpoint Group in San Jose, Calif. The data storage technology company will occupy three floors at RiverPark Tower I, in addition to the five floors the firm is currently leasing in RiverPark Tower II. Newmark Knight Frank arranged the deal on behalf of the landlords.
Situated at 333 W. San Carlos St., RiverPark Tower I is in the heart of San Jose, near major thoroughfares such as Interstate 280 and Freeway 87. The tower is also located close to the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts, San Jose Convention Center, SAP Center and Diridon Station. Built in 1987, the 16-story office tower occupies less than 1 acre and features 653 parking spaces, according to Yardi Matrix. The building received LEED Gold certification in 2010.
“This major expansion reflects the increasing demand generated by many tech brands and their growing employee base,” said Anne Ralston, senior managing director at NKF, in prepared remarks. “This project has all the amenities tenants require in one of the hottest spots for tech in Silicon Valley. We were able to meet Cohesity’s specific needs by structuring a deal ideally suited for their growth cycle.”
NKF’s team included Ralston, Vice Chairman Phil Mahoney and Executive Managing Directors Mike Saign and Joe Kelly.
