Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT’s Salt Lake office will represent Vista Station, a new 100-plus acre development located in Draper, Utah, in the popular Salt Lake County.

“It’s very compelling and quite a project for this area,” Randy Owen, Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT’s chief operating officer in Salt Lake City, told Commercial Property Executive. “What makes this so special is that for a second tier market like Salt Lake City, it represents a significant transit-oriented development. That is the wave of the future.”

Located at 13000 South 550 West, Vista Station was designed to be a true transit-oriented development as those who work and/or live these can access the new high-speed South Valley FrontRunner Commuter Rail Hub.

Frontrunner has a major stop point at the nearby station and this enables mass transit to be available to the commercial front, so you can live 50 miles away and commute by rail and get to your office space easily, according to Owen.

Vista Station includes more than 1.8 million square feet of office space including eBay’s new $110-million campus that is near completion, 250,000 square feet of retail shopping space, and 1,800 residential units. The development is also close to the new NSA Data Center.

“We are thrilled to represent this landmark project in Salt Lake County for Vista Station and Boulder Ventures Development,” said Brandon Fugal, CBC’s executive vice president. “The future of real estate is a blend of transit-oriented development (TOD) and walkable urban development. Vista Station is a perfect blend of both.

The eBay building is a 200,000-square-foot LEED Gold certified building and the expectation is that all buildings in the development will be environmentally friendly.

Commercial NRT’s Salt Lake office has a successful track record leasing in the Salt Lake market with several large commercial projects to its credit.

One of the reasons NRT was chosen is the company’s experience with large commercial developments. NRT’s group has been responsible for Class A office leasing in the suburbs dominated market for the last several years. NRT also has the exclusive listing for RiverPark, a 1.5 million-square-foot park in South Jordan, one of the largest Class A suburban parks in Salt Lake City. Another is Thanksgiving Park, which is in Lihi, a four-building, 500,000-square-foot suburban Class A office park.
