Colliers Hires New Managing Director
Wayne Kasbar previously worked as a vice president of brokerage services at Silbert Realty & Management and Trammell Crow.
Parsippany, N.J.—Wayne L. Kasbar joins Colliers International as managing director. In this position, he will be focusing on the retail sector.
With more than 25 years of experience in retail real estate, Kasbar worked as a vice president at Silbert Realty & Management Co. Inc. and Trammell Crow where he had oversight over the brokerage team. Since the beginning of this year, Kasbar is also a member of the Advisory Board at BWG Strategy. In 2002, he moved his real estate practice from Manhattan to New Jersey. He holds a bachelor degree from Lehigh University.
“The retail industry continues to evolve,” said Kasbar in prepared statements. “And the retail real estate service community needs to keep pace. Historically, the retail brokerage landscape was defined by regionalized, boutique brokerage houses. We are seeing more and more that national occupiers of space are idea-driven and the national real estate service companies are best suited to provide the resources and perspective as a single-source solution.”
Over the past decade, Kasbar was involved in $50 million annually in lease transactions.
