Lancaster, S.C.—CompuCom Systems Inc. recently announced its plans to relocate its global headquarters operations from Texas to Lancaster County, S.C. The new development is projected to bring $41 million in new capital investment and lead to the creation of 1,500 new jobs over the next five to seven years. This is the largest single job announcement in Lancaster County history. Foundry Commercial is CompuCom’s tenant representative, Womble Carlyle served as the incentive consultant and a joint venture of The Keith Corp. and MPV Properties serves as the developer.

CompuCom’s new operation center will be located in the 300-acre corporate office park Bailes Ridge Business Park on Highway 160. The company will be leasing a 150,000-square-foot space. Work at the newly constructed building is already underway.

As an incentive for the move, the Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits related to this project, along with a Rural Infrastructure Fund grant of $1 million to assist with the costs of real property improvements.
