After a five-year tenure at JLL, James Adams will be handling the company's project and development services in the region. He will also be performing owner representation and consulting for clients.
Just days after naming a new managing director in West Palm Beach, Fla., Cushman & Wakefield appointed James Adams as its new managing director of project and development services (PDS). In his new role, he will be in charge of establishing and executing strategic direction, expanding services and developing new business, as well as performing owner representation and consulting for the firm’s clients. Adams will be based in the company’s Philadelphia office.
“Our project and construction management capabilities will span most types of projects, including new construction, renovation, tenant improvements, infrastructure, capital improvements, asset repositioning and adaptive reuse,” Adams said in a prepared statement. “I look forward to working closely with our firm’s other service lines to seamlessly provide a full spectrum of real estate services to clients.”
Adams brings 19 years of expertise in the construction and project management field to the table, having served for more than five years as managing director of PDS and construction services at JLL. Between 2001 and 2011, he was vice president at Blue Rock. He graduated Drexel University and obtained a bachelor of science degree in architectural engineering, followed by a master of business administration from Rutgers University.
Throughout his career, James Adams oversaw multiple projects as large as $110 million. In addition, he is a LEED-accredited professional, a member of U.S. Green Building Council and he is certified in Photovoltaic System Installation and ASHRAE system design.
