Carter Validus Mission Critical REIT II Inc. acquired Charlotte Data Center II for an aggregate purchase price of $16.4 million. At the time of the sale, the 52,924-rentable-square-foot colocation facility was 100 percent leased by Atos. Previously, Xerox was a tenant as well.

The property is situated at 1400 Cross Beam Drive. The asset features a desirable location for data center operations, due to the site’s low energy costs, abundant and reliable power and ease of accessibility.

“Ideally located and fully leased to a leading global technology company, we believe this investment will translate into added value for our stockholders,” John Carter, CEO of CV Mission Critical REIT II, said in a prepared statement.

Most recently, the trust bought Connecticut’s largest data center facility for roughly $58.9 million, along with four additional healthcare properties.
