C&W Atlanta Appoints Office Tenant Advisory Lead
Lawrence Gellerstedt is one of the firm’s youngest leaders, bringing experience in equity, debt and structured finance in the office, industrial and multifamily sectors.
Cushman & Wakefield promoted Lawrence Gellerstedt IV to lead the company’s Atlanta office tenant representation practice comprised of 38 brokerage professionals. In this new position, Gellerstedt will oversee the growth and enhancements to Cushman & Wakefield’s Atlanta platform with increased specialization across geographies and industry verticals.
Investment sales experience
Before officially joining Cushman & Wakefield, Gellerstedt served as an intern with the firm’s equity, debt and structured finance team, where he conducted financial analyses on office, industrial and multifamily financing transactions. Gellerstedt also interned with CBRE where he participated in all aspects of the investment sales process in the company’s capital markets practice. Prior to entering the commercial real estate industry, Gellerstedt was an accountant executive with Spalding Jackson, where he focused on corporate marketing, internal communications and crisis management.
“Lawrence has built a very successful business by focusing on the complex needs of Atlanta’s technology sector,” said John O’Neill, managing principal of Cushman & Wakefield’s Atlanta office, in a prepared statement. “I look forward to Lawrence implementing this focused approach to our office occupier services team,” he added.
Lawrence Gellerstedt earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA in finance and real estate from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. A member of the Atlanta chapters of REGA, NAIOP and ULI, Gellerstedt was the youngest member to be admitted to the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce’s Advisory Board.
