C&W Closes Broward County Office Leases
With the addition of seven new tenants, Pembroke Point 880 is nearing full occupancy roughly two years after its completion.
Cushman & Wakefield has negotiated seven new leases totaling 59,130 square feet at Pembroke Pointe 880, a Class A office building in Pembroke Pines, Fla.
Located at 880 SW 145th Ave., Pembroke Point 880 was completed in 2015 and is part of a planned four-building office campus spanning across 36 acres. Encompassing 143,355 square feet, the property features 36,111-square-foot floor plates, ample parking and is currently 86 percent occupied.
The leasing team of Executive Director Deanna Lobinsky, Executive Director Travis Herring, Director Katherine Ridgway and Associate Chase Kulp worked on behalf of building owner and developer Duke Realty.
Diverse tenant roster
Cushman & Wakefield secured leases with DeVry Education Group, Evolution Lighting LLC, CoreStaff, Boxy Charm, Costa Cruise Lines, Kronos and QEO Group.
DeVry Education Group, a global education provider, agreed to lease 13,980 square feet. Managing Director Rashid Siahpoosh of Newmark Knight Frank represented the tenant. Evolution Lighting LLC is relocating its headquarters from Miami and will occupy 9,684 square feet. Senior Vice President Doug Okun of Continental Real Estate Cos. worked on behalf of the lighting manufacturer and distributor.
CoreStaff leased 8,072 square feet at the property. Associate Director Clay Sidner of Newmark Knight Frank represented the Houston-based staffing company. Boxy Charm signed an 11,032-square-foot lease for its headquarters. Irving Diaz, managing director of Office Equities, negotiated the lease on behalf of the Miami-based beauty product distributor.
Costa Cruises is relocating its U.S. headquarters from Hollywood, Fla., to a 4,256-square-foot space at the property. Doug Campbell, president of the Campbell Group, represented the Carnival Co. subsidiary in the negotiations. Kronos agreed to lease 7,175 square feet at Pembroke Point 880. Director Ryan Levy of Cushman & Wakefield negotiated the lease on behalf of the cloud applications provider.
QEO Group will occupy a 4,931-square-foot space that will serve as the company’s second corporate office. Executive Director Jeff Holding and Senior Director A.J. Belt of Cushman & Wakefield represented the insurance company.
“The property is uniquely positioned in the tight Broward County office market to capitalize on the pent-up demand for new, accessible Class A space in a state-of-the-art building,” said Lobinsky, in a prepared statement.
Situated in southwest Broward County, the property is proximate to local retail and dining venues, including the adjacent 400,000-square-foot Shops at Pembroke Gardens. The asset’s central location provides access to Interstate 75, Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport and Miami International Airport.
