C&W to Lease, Manage 300 KSF of Retail in Virginia
The three Richmond-area shopping centers are owned by Armada Hoffler.

Richmond, Va.—Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer has been selected by Virginia Beach-based Armada Hoffler to manage and lease three grocery-anchored shopping centers in the Richmond-Tidewater area. The portfolio totals more than 300,000 square feet of retail.
The Food Lion-anchored Bermuda Crossroads center in Chester, Va., is situated on Route 1/Jefferson Davis Highway. The 122,000-square-foot property sits in a dense retail corridor which also includes a Home Depot, Kohl’s, Kroger, Lowe’s, Target and Martin’s Food Market. Alex Wotring and Reilly Marchant of Thalhimer’s Richmond office will spearhead leasing efforts, while Justin Lucy will act as portfolio manager. The property’s tenant roster also includes OficeMax, Sonic, Aaron’s and IHOP.
The Harris Teeter-anchored Lightfoot Marketplace opened in mid-July 2016 and sits at 6401 Richmond Road in Williamsburg, on the site of the former Williamsburg Outlet Mall. The 88,000-square-foot property will also have outparcels available for development. The Lightfoot Marketplace offers immediate access to Route 199. The initial tenant roster includes Rite Aid, Avalon and Great Clips. Drew Haynie and David Tunnicliffe of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer’s Newport News office are in charge of leasing. Joann Gaskins will lead management duties.
The Hanbury Village is located in Chesapeake and was completed in 2006. Also anchored by Harris Teeter, the Hampton Roads property’s list of tenants also includes The Little Gym, Bon Secours, Nacho Grande, Fat Frogs, Starbucks and Walgreens. Hanbury Village has a ground lease with Harris Teeter, as well as an outparcel that is ground leased by 7-Eleven. David Machupa and Dean Martin of Thalhimer’s Virginia Beach office are the exclusive leasing representatives. Melody Almonte is the portfolio manager.
