It’s official! After 35 years of growing Delta Associates into a national enterprise, Greg Leisch is hanging up his hat and joining Newmark Grubb Knight Frank’s Washington, D.C., office. And he’s taking his business partner of 13 years, Alexander “Sandy” Paul with him.
Leisch has been named NGKF’s Senior Managing Director of Research, while Paul is the new Managing Director of National Market Research.
“In my new role I will be focused on building a local and national research platform to support their brokerage, property management, and financing business lines,” Leisch said in an email he sent to his media associates on Feb. 20, bidding farewell.
In a press release, Leisch added that he acknowledges an “intriguing opportunity to expand the firm’s research platform with Sandy, which will serve NGKF’s diverse client base, and market hungry for the best data and analysis it can get.”
In an email more than a week earlier, Paul also wrote to his associates about Feb 18 being his last day at Delta Associates.
“In my new role I will be focused on writing thought-leadership pieces about the economy and the real estate market and on hosting events and delivering presentations to facilitate the exchange of ideas,” he said.
Both directors start on March 30 in their new roles.
In the meantime, Leisch is leaving his Delta Associates investment in the hands of his partner, David Weisel, who is now CEO of the company, appointed by Transwestern, which bought Delta in 1995 as its research affiliate.
