Dennis Basso Store to Open in Empire Outlets NYC

New York—American high-end fashion designer Dennis Basso is opening his first outlet store on Staten Island, N.Y. BFC Partners announced the store will open at Empire Outlets, the city’s first and only outlet center development. The project is currently underway along the New York Harbor, and is already 60 percent leased to a number of national retailers.

Dennis Basso has signed a lease for 2,138 square feet of space at the site. Casandra Properties Managing Director James Prendamano and EB Development’s Andrew Boyle represented BFC Partners in the long-term deal.

“Dennis Basso defines international couture, and we are extremely thrilled that Empire Outlets will be the first outlet location for this trend setting global phenomenon,” BFC Partners Principal Joseph Ferrara said in a prepared statement. “Our ‘stars’ aligned seamlessly as our vision for Empire Outlets only begins to materialize into an experience that visitors from around the world will want to repeat time and time again, and adding Dennis Basso to our roster of best in class retailers only validates our vision into reality.”

Empire Outlets is a multi-million dollar project located adjacent to the St. George Ferry Terminal, and is set to include: 350,000 square feet of prime retail space; a 190-key hotel featuring a rooftop venue; 1,250 parking spaces; and a 40,000-square-foot food and beverage deck with views of the Manhattan skyline. The development will also be conveniently situated adjacent to the New York Wheel.
