Donohoe Grows Hotel Management Portfolio by 1,106 Rooms
The company’s management portfolio is set to more than double in the next 36 months, reaching a total of 3,142 guestrooms across five states.
Donohoe Hospitality Services, a division of The Donohoe Cos., has expanded its management portfolio by six hotels. The properties are currently under construction, with the latest delivery slated for 2022.
Founded in 2005 as a division to manage Donohoe Cos.’ own hotels, Donohoe Hospitality Services has attracted developers and owners from the industry and the company said its management portfolio will more than double in size in the next 36 months to 14 hotels and 3,142 guestrooms across five states. The six new hotels to go under the company’s management umbrella total 1,106 units.
New additions
Hampton Inn & Suites/Home2 Suites by Hilton, located at 755 Sierra Vista Drive in Las Vegas, is a 250-key, dual-branded facility that will include 1,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The property, which is being constructed adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center, is slated to open in the first quarter of 2020. The Hampton Inn component us slated to offer 150 rooms, while the Home2 Suites section will have 100 guest suites. The hotels will share common amenities including a lobby, dining facilities, a cocktail lounge, pool, a business center and registration desk. In addition to managing this property, Donohoe has a minority interest in the joint development venture.
Canopy by Hilton Harbor Point at 1215 S. Wills St. in Baltimore will offer 156 guestrooms when complete in the second quarter of 2020. The property is set to have a first-floor waterfront lobby and restaurant, while the guestrooms will sit on the top four floors of the 12-story Wills Street Wharf office building. In addition, the hotel will offer two function spaces with full in-house catering services.
A Homewood Suites by Hilton, located at 1741 Business Drive in Reston, Va., is anticipated to open in the third quarter of 2020. The 138-suite extended-stay hotel is being built at The Lake Fairfax Business Park, about 1 mile northeast from the Wiehle-Reston East Metro Station and adjacent to Thompson Hospitality’s corporate headquarters. The facility is set to include studio, one- and two-bedroom suites with separate living spaces.
Cambria Hotel Capitol Riverfront, located at 69 Q St. SW in Washington, D.C., is a 154-key Donohoe development. It is positioned close to major federal government agencies, the National Mall, Audi Field, Nationals’ Park and is easily accessible from Reagan National Airport. The property will feature a rooftop bar and restaurant, as well as 1,725 square feet of event and rooftop space. The hotel is slated for completion in the first quarter of 2021.
Another Cambria hotel in the portfolio will be located at 86 Newbury St. in Portland, Maine, with completion anticipated for the third quarter of 2021. The 138-key facility will feature spa-style bathrooms, guestrooms with plush bedding, a rooftop bar and pool, as well as a chef-curated dining and multifunction meeting space.
The dual-branded 270-key AC & Residence Inn Reston, Va., is set to open in the first quarter of 2022.
