BostonDoubleTree by Hilton recently announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Boston-Rockland. The property, formerly a Holiday Inn, is owned and managed by Linchris Hotel Corp., and saw extensive, multi-million dollar renovations prior to changing brands.

Halfway between Boston and Plymouth, the 127-key property located in Rockland, Mass. is situated at 929 Hingham St., close to Pilgrims Highway with quick access to I-93. The hotel is less than one hour away from Downtown Boston and Providence, R.I. and approximately an hour and a half from Newport, R.I. and Cape Cod’s Provincetown. Apart from these, nearby points of interest for the Boston-area hotel include Nantasket Beach, the Accord and Assinippi Business Parks, as well as various South Shore wedding venues.

“The South Shore is a hub of leisure and business activity, making it a great location for this new addition to our DoubleTree by Hilton portfolio of hotels,” said Dianna Vaughan, global head & SVP of DoubleTree by Hilton, in a prepared statement.

The DoubleTree Boston-Rockland list of amenities includes a 24-hour business center, 24-hour pavilion pantry market, nearly 4,000 square feet of meeting space, a ballroom accommodating up to 225 guests, a bar and lounge area, a bar & grill restaurant, 24-hour fitness room, heated outside pool, free WiFi in rooms and common areas, complimentary parking, and 24-hour room service.
