The total number of employed people from June 2016 to June 2017 increased by 1.4 percent or 2,096 people, while the total number of unemployed people decreased by 11 percent or 894 people. Year-over-year, the largest difference for employment was in the Professional and Related occupations with a rise of 4.6 percent. Following that, the next increases were for Transportation and Material Moving at 3.1 percent and Production, Transportation and Material Moving at 2.9 percent. For unemployment, the most significant decrease was in the Farming, Fishing and Forestry occupations with 37.1 percent, followed by Management, Business and Financial (-22%), Management, Professional and Related (-15.9%) and Transportation and Material Moving occupations (-14.1%). The overall unemployment total dropped 11.8 percent year-over-year.
