The total number employed from July 2016 to July 2017 increased by 1.3 percent, or 2,033 people, while the total number of unemployed decreased by 10 percent, or 826 people.

The total number employed from July 2016 to July 2017 increased by 1.3 percent, or 2,033 people, while the total number of unemployed decreased by 10 percent, or 826 people. Year-over-year, the largest difference for employment was in Production occupations, with a rise of 4.5 percent. Following that were Production, Transportation and Material Moving at 4.2 percent and Transportation and Material Moving at 3.9 percent. For unemployment, the most significant decrease was in the Installation, Maintenance and Repair occupations, with 31.9 percent, followed by Management, Business and Financial occupations (-19.7 percent) and Sales and Related occupations (-16.4 percent). The overall unemployment rate total has dropped 9.8 percent year-over-year.
