JLL has arranged a 48,818-square-foot lease expansion on behalf of Equinix at Two Harbour Place, a 179,891-square-foot office building in downtown Tampa, Fla. The tenant will expand from its original 30,164-square-foot space and will occupy the seventh and eighth floors of the property.
Upgraded office space
Located at 302 Knights Run Ave., in Tampa’s waterfront community of Harbour Island, Two Harbour Place was completed in 1998. According to Yardi Matrix, landlord Crocker Partners refurbished the building in 2015. Amenities include on-site property management and maintenance, covered parking with a ratio of four spaces per 1,000 square feet, concierge and security services, full-time day porter and auto detailing.
JLL Senior Vice Presidents Caleb Lewis and John Heald represented the tenant, while Senior Vice Presidents Jim Moler and Deana Beer assisted the landlord in the lease negotiations. Equinix, a global interconnection and data center company, needed more space to accommodate its workforce and operations. The transaction brings the asset’s occupancy to 92 percent.
“Rather than relocating to a different market, our JLL team was able to work with the tenant and the landlord to keep the company at Two Harbour Place,” Lewis said in a prepared statement. “This expansion is a major win for the local economy as it ensures that Equinix will continue to add jobs in the region for years to come.”
