The Cambria Hotels has opened Cambria Hotel Downtown Dallas, a 177-key adaptive reuse hotel situated in downtown Dallas’ historic Tower Petroleum Building. The project is franchised by Choice Hotels International Inc. In a recent transaction closed in February, the chain-hotel company signed an agreement with Koucar Management LLC to develop a Southwest D.C. hotel.
Located at 1907 Elm St., the 22-story hotel is close to a mix of dining, shopping and entertainment venues including American Airlines Center, Dallas World Aquarium, Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, Baylor University Medical Center and Deep Ellum. Additionally, the property is close to several corporate headquarters such as Southwest Airlines, Texas Instruments and AT&T.
Historic art deco style
Cambria Hotel Downtown Dallas features an 87-year-old art deco style, a full-service restaurant and bar, grab-and-go gourmet salads and sandwiches, approximately 1,500 square feet of multi-function meeting space and a state-of-the-art fitness center.
“This hotel offers a prime location in the epicenter of the city and delivers to guests a genuine sense of place with its fantastic adaptive reuse capturing the essence of the historic building,” Janis Cannon, senior vice president of Choice Hotels, said in a statement.
The opening of Cambria Hotel Downtown Dallas ranks as the fourth Cambria property to open in Texas, after the Cambria Hotel Plano Frisco, the Cambria Hotel McAllen Convention Center and the Cambria Hotel Southlake DFW North.
