Fresh Look for Suburban Boston Office Asset
A team led by Margulies Perruzzi Architects transformed National Development's 100,000-square-foot property into a modernly amenitized building with new elements and a completely different design.
Margulies Perruzzi Architects (MPA) has finished renovating 100 Crossing Blvd., a 100,000-square-foot office building in Framingham, Mass. The owner, National Development, selected Cranshaw Construction to handle construction, while AHA Consulting Engineers delivered the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering services. Daigle Engineers Inc. and Hawk Design Inc. acted as structural engineer and landscape architect, respectively. Two years ago, MPA designed a LEED Gold-certified asset in Waltham, Mass.
The 1997-built, three-story building underwent a comprehensive renovation and modernization program, which resulted in upgraded interiors and new amenities. The property features a reimagined two-story lobby with art components, new lighting, flooring and handrails, a new ground-floor cafeteria, 1,525-square-foot conference center and fitness center with locker rooms. Additionally, it includes a freshly landscaped front walk and outdoor patio.
“MPA recognizes what tenants require in order to attract great talent and retain key employees, and their design for 100 Crossing Blvd. really transformed a dated office building into a bright building with appealing amenities,” National Development Asset Manager William Kennedy said in a prepared statement.
