Real estate investment and management firm Granite Properties has named John Robbins, a 20-year industry veteran, managing director of the Atlanta office. Robbins, who officially started his position at the beginning of the month, comes to Granite from Sage Realty Partners.
Before founding Sage, Robbins held several leadership roles over 11 years, including stints at Hines and the Shailendra Group. He earned his undergraduate and Master’s degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
According to Granite executive managing director Scott Martin, Robbins fits the company culture and possesses the experience and knowledge to re-establish a presence in Atlanta. He will spearhead a new office at Granite’s 100 City View building in the northwest area.
Robbins added that he believes the firm will grow through opportunities that will arise as vacancy rates improve over the coming five years.
Granite was founded in 1991 and today owns and operates more than 11 million square feet of office, industrial and retail properties.
