H-E-B has opened its Eastside Tech Hub in East Austin, Texas. The retailer will house here its digital partners, as well as the new headquarters for Favor, the retailer’s wholly owned, Austin-based on-demand delivery company.

Located at 2416 E. Sixth St., the office complements the company’s San Antonio headquarters, and the two locations will have Wi-Fi-enabled shuttle rides to connect them. The Eastside Tech Hub will initially house hundreds of Favor team members and H-E-B digital partners, with room to grow as both companies expand their teams.

Modern layout

The 81,000-square-foot, two-story building was previously a warehouse, transformed by IA Interior Architects into an office concept with a variety of dynamic work areas, including open collaboration areas, individual workspaces and more than 50 meeting rooms of different sizes, equipped with advanced technology and video conferencing capabilities. Amenities include a coffee bar featuring local roasteries, a lounge area, a large events space and a wellness center with a rock-climbing wall, as well as fitness classes, bike parking and showers.

The property is within walking distance of several restaurants, coffee shops, breweries and the Seventh Street H-E-B store, currently under renovation.
