High Profile Retailers Join Palo Alto Shopping Center

Hermès and Cartier are the latest tenants to set up shop at the 1.4 million-square-foot Stanford Shopping Center.

Palo Alto, Calif.Simon Property Group Inc. has announced the addition of high-fashion retailer Hermès and French luxury house Cartier to its tenant roster at the Stanford Shopping Center in Palo Alto.

The 6,000-square-foot Hermès Palo Alto boutique is the retailer’s first location to open in the U.S. market in more than five years. The store is slated to open in late 2017 or early 2018. On the other hand, Cartier will set up shop as soon as this fall, with an adjacent boutique designed to reflect the style of Architect Bruno Moinard.

Stanford Shopping Center totals a gross leasable area of 1.4 million square feet and is located in close proximity to Stanford University, at the intersection of El Camino Real and Sand Hill Road. The center caters to highly educated, high-income shoppers from Silicon Valley and affluent communities such as Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Atherton, Woodside, Hillsborough, plus Stanford University students.

The two new stores will join tenants such as Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s, plus more than 125 world-class luxury brands and restaurants. Anthropologie and Alex and Ani will also open stores at the site later this fall.
