Minneapolis–The $2 million remodeling of the Hilton Minneapolis/Bloomington hotel near the Mall of America in Bloomington is now complete.
The renovation of the property, which is managed by Marcus Hotels & Resorts, brought improvements to the lobby area and entrance, food and beverage outlets, meeting space and HHonors Executive Lounge.
In addition to new décor and design elements, the lobby now features a Starbucks Grab & Go so guests can enjoy traditional and seasonal Starbucks beverages daily, along with other refreshments.
Olive Bar & Lounge, featuring breakfast, small plates and happy hour specials was transformed into a work and play space. A 750-square-foot bar serves as the focal point of the lounge, surrounded by booth and table seating, and three flat-screen TVs. A window divides the lounge from the lobby area, making it an ideal place to relax or have a casual business meeting.
The award-winning Bloomington ChopHouse, which is considered one of Minneapolis’ premier steakhouse restaurants, has also unveiled a new look. The improved design is meant to complement the reputation of the restaurant, which has been voted Best Steakhouse by the Bloomington Sun Current for five consecutive years.
The hotel’s 5,040-square-foot American Ballroom was completely renovated with new carpeting, decor and chandeliers. Foyer space includes new furniture with enhanced technology, including work desks with power and USB outlets. Meanwhile, HHonors and VIP travelers will be welcomed by a completely renovated executive lounge.
Located on the southwest corner of I-494 and France Avenue, the hotel is only seven miles from Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport and close to many Minneapolis attractions, shopping, nightlife and entertainment options.
“Guests will enjoy a complete transformation of the public areas, featuring new design elements and décor emphasizing contemporary silvers, grays and pearls as well as modern aesthetics,”Jim Waldvogel, the property’s general manager, said in prepared remarks. “We believe this renovation will make the Hilton Minneapolis/Bloomington hotel one of the city’s most popular destinations for leisure and business travelers alike.”
