Hilton Worldwide to Operate New Hilton Garden Inn in Argentina

Hilton Worldwide recently announced the signing of a multi-year management agreement to operate a Hilton Garden Inn hotel in San Miguel de Tucuman, Argentina.

Located in the capital of Tucuman province in northern Argentina, the new 103-room Hilton Garden Inn Tucuman will be developed by Abasto Tucumano SA. Scheduled to be completed in September 2012, the new hotel will represent the brand’s seventh development project in Latin America and the fifth Hilton Worldwide development in Argentina.

Danny Hughes, senior vice president, Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America for Hilton Worldwide said: “Adding Tucuman to our portfolio will complement our existing Hilton Buenos Aires in Puerto Madero, as well as the projects we currently have underway in Iguazu, Santa Fe, Ushuaia and Zarate – giving us a solid presence throughout Argentina and offering our guests an opportunity to experience the diversity of this stunning country.”

The new Hilton Garden Inn Tucuman will be part of the Central Tucumano mixed-use complex, a restoration project which will also feature a convention center, dining options, a shopping galleria, a theater and various other cultural attractions. Apart from all the attractions of the complex, the guests at the Hilton Garden Inn Tucuman will also be able to enjoy a courtyard with direct access to the historic market Mercado del Abasto.

The hotel will feature 103 guest rooms. The guests would have access to various amenities such as an outdoor swimming pool, tanning salon, a fitness center, a 24-hour business center and more than 7,000 square feet of meeting space, including a ballroom with a capacity for 600 guests.

Hilton Worldwide is currently expanding throughout the region with development plans which also include properties in Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Panama and Peru.
