Hospitality Ventures Management Group (HVMG) has completed the renovation and rebranding of a 30-year-old hotel into a 242-key Embassy Suites in Phoenix. Newly opened as the Embassy Suites by Hilton Phoenix Downtown North, the property is owned and operated by HVMG. Together with True North Management Group, the company acquired the hotel in June of 2016 for $29.3 million, according to public records.
Located at 10 E. Thomas Road, the building features 4,350 square feet of meeting rooms, free breakfast, evening snacks and drinks, complimentary Wi-Fi and a fitness center. A restaurant, the Salt River Tavern, is also open to guests and the general public.
Accessible location
Built and opened in 1988 as the Hilton Phoenix Suites, the building is located two minutes away from the Thomas Road Valley Metro Rail station and from city bus services. The property is approximately one and a half miles from Interstate 10 and two miles from the Phoenix Convention Center.
“Embassy Suites by Hilton Phoenix Downtown North is the first Embassy Suites property in Downtown Phoenix, making it the perfect addition to our award-winning brand of upscale all-suite hotels,” said Alan Roberts, global head of Embassy Suites by Hilton, in prepared remarks.
Earlier this year, HVMG announced extensive hotel renovations nationwide, for a total of $110 million.
