A Hyatt Hotels Corp.’s affiliate has entered into a management agreement with Városház Utca Projekt Ingatlanforgalmazó Kft. to open Hyatt Regency Budapest, a 231-key hotel, marking the brand’s first Hyatt Regency development in Budapest, Hungary. The property is slated to open in early 2020.
Located in Postapalota, the former post palace office building on Petofi Sandor Street, the hotel is close to several trams, buses and train stops, as well as being approximately 14 miles from the Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport. Other nearby shopping, dining and entertainment venues include Mammut Mall, Home Goods, Saint James Hospital, Sports Complex and Burger King.
Hyatt Regency Budapest is set to feature a business facility with a 4,000-square-foot ballroom and more than 6,600 square feet of meeting space. Other amenities will include a spa, fitness center and an indoor swimming pool. A restaurant and a bar will also be situated within the inner courtyard.
Last year, Hyatt opened the Hyatt Regency Amsterdam, a 211-key hotel, as part of the company’s growing footprint in Europe. Further additions will include Hyatt Regency Zadar Maraska in Croatia and Hyatt Regency Sofia in Bulgaria.
