IHG Opens Saudi Arabia Crowne Plaza
The 326-key hotel and convention center is IHG’s seventh property in Riyadh, and it features nearly 130,000 square feet of conference and meeting space.

InterContinental Hotels Group has opened its Crowne Plaza Riyadh–RDC Hotel and Convention Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The 326-key property is located in Al Ra’idah Digital City, a large, 200-acre mixed-use district. Developers broke ground on the building, IHG’s seventh Riyadh hotel, in late 2014. The Crowne Plaza flag is expanding worldwide, with plans moving forward to build other luxury hospitality properties around the globe.
The newly opened hotel features 129,167 square feet of event and meeting space. The building offers a variety of dining options, including a range of different cuisines from Brazilian to Japanese. On-site guest amenities include:
- complimentary Wi-Fi
- fitness center
- tennis court
- outdoor swimming pool
- spa
- 24-hour business center
“The hotel is located in the new information technology area of Riyadh, that will be developed as the IT and Communications hub in the city, and is expected to attract business travelers from across the world,” said Pascal Gauvin, managing director of IHG for India, Middle East and Africa, in a prepared statement.
