IntercityHotel to Debut in Switzerland
The 250-key hotel will be located within a 10-minute drive from the Zurich International Airport. The property is slated to open in 2020.

IntercityHotel is expanding its footprint in Europe. The company has signed a lease agreement with Patrizier Beteiligungs AG for the the IntercityHotel Zurich Airport, a 250-key hotel in Switzerland. Patrizier will serve as the investor and developer for the property. Construction of the hotel is slated to be completed in 2020.
Located at Rümlang Station, IntercityHotel Zurich Airport is a 10-minute drive from the Zurich International Airport and a 15-minute drive from the city center. Property features include:
- fitness center
- spa
- 150 parking spaces
- restaurant
- bar
The amenities and the conference facilities will extend over nearly 5,000 square feet. Italian architect Matteo Thun will be designing the interior of the hotel. The IntercityHotel portfolio includes more than 40 hotels in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and China, and more than 20 hotels are currently in the development stage.
IntercityHotel isn’t the only hospitality brand expanding its international reach. Marriott International announced in late 2017 that it would be opening 40 hotels this year in several countries.
