Junson Capital has named Interstate Hotels & Resorts to manage The Westin Alexandria, a 319-key luxury hotel near Washington, D.C. Interstate has added several hospitality assets to its management portfolio this year, including a Los Angeles-area DoubleTree by Hilton in March.

Junson acquired The Westin Alexandria in February for $76.5 million, according to public records. The previous owner, Chartres Lodging Group, carried out $5 million in renovation work in 2016.

Located at 400 Courthouse Square in Alexandria, Va., the hotel is a stone’s throw from the city’s Old Town district. The Capital Beltway runs south of the property, and nearby public transport links and Amtrak stations further serve to connect the building with the wider metro area.

The Westin Alexandria contains a mix of traditional rooms and suites ranging from 377 to 758 square feet, plus one 1,506-square-foot presidential suite. Guest amenities include:

  • 24-hour fitness center
  • indoor swimming pool
  • valet parking
  • complimentary shuttle service
  • 20,000 square feet of event space

In addition to an on-site Starbucks, the Trademark restaurant operates out of the ground floor, as a nod to the nearby U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
