Investment Activity Picks Up in 2Q
Total investment volume increased from $101.2 billion in the first quarter to $103.8 billion in the second quarter, according to Real Capital Analytics data.

Investment in U.S. real estate picked up a bit from the first quarter of the year to the second quarter, increasing from $101.2 billion to $103.8 billion, according to Real Capital Analytics data. Volume increased in the Southeast, Southwest and West regions, while volume took a dip in the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest and Northeast regions for the quarter. Total investment for the first half of 2017 was $105 billion, down from the $120.6 billion achieved in the first half of 2016. Many investors expect transaction activity to pick up in the second half of the year.
