IPA Names New Senior Managing Director
With more than 20 years of industry experience, Bill Rose will be responsible for overseeing sales and financing for West Coast shopping centers.
Institutional Property Advisors (IPA), a division of Marcus & Millichap, has named Bill Rose its new senior managing director in San Diego. In his advisory role, he will focus on sales and financing of West Coast shopping centers.
Previously, Rose worked as national director of retail for both Marcus & Millichap and IPA.
“After several years in management with the company, Bill has made the decision to return to his roots as an effective advisor/broker, working closely with institutional and major private investors,” said Alan Pontius, national director of Marcus & Millichap’s specialty divisions, in prepared remarks.
Before joining Marcus & Millichap in 2003, he was a managing director at HFF, where he supervised debt origination, structured finance and investment sales. Prior to that, Rose spent more than 10 years at TrizecHahn as its director of development leasing and management, closing more than $3 billion in real estate business deals.
IPA’s new senior managing director holds a B.S. in real estate and finance from the University of Colorado. He is a Certified Retail Property Executive and Certified Shopping Center Manager, as well as a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Urban Land Institute and the University of Colorado Real Estate Advisory Board.
Last year, Institutional Property Advisors hired Kenneth Szady as its national director for the IPA Office and Industrial arm, based in Chicago.
