Jamestown has acquired two adjacent retail assets north of Atlanta from Mimms Enterprises for $54.8 million, according to Fulton County records. The properties—The Exchange at Hammond and Parkside Shops—contain 334,787 square feet.
Mimms owned the retail portfolio for nearly 20 years, acquiring both assets in a $5.9 million acquisition in September 1999.
Located at 5930-5992 Roswell Road N.E. in Sandy Springs, Ga., the 176,376-square-foot Exchange at Hammond shopping center is situated alongside Georgia Route 9, less than half a mile north of The Perimeter. The asset is fully leased to a mix of tenants, including Whole Foods Market, Marshalls and Office Depot.
Parkside Shops is positioned at 5920 Roswell Road N.E., immediately south of The Exchange at Hammond. The 158,411-square-foot property is occupied by a number of tenants, including The Cinema Springs & Taphouse, Tuesday Morning and Chipotle.
HFF’s Jim Hamilton, Brad Buchanan, Michael Allison and Shea Petrick represented Mimms in the transaction. In June, most of the same team closed the sale of a 135,000-square-foot retail center in Memphis, Tenn.
