JELD-WEN Plans Multimillion-Dollar Training Center in NC
The company will build a corporate campus in Charlotte, with plans to move or hire 200 new associates.

Charlotte, N.C.—JELD-WEN, a global manufacturer of windows, doors and related products, has recently announced its plans to build a new multimillion-dollar corporate campus and training center in Charlotte, N.C. The company will move or hire 200 associates at its Queen City headquarters. Details about the investment were not yet disclosed.
Currently, the company has offices located at 440 South Church St., Suite 400 in Charlotte, N.C. The new 200-job headquarters will qualify for up to $2.4 million from the state’s Jobs Development Investment Grant program. Payments will occur in annual installments over 12 years, pending verification by the North Carolina Department of Commerce and North Carolina Department of Revenue that the company has met incremental job creation and investment targets. The company intends to hire administrative, management and other staff.
“JELD-WEN is investing in Charlotte because this vibrant city has so much to offer in the way of talent and amenities. We appreciate the support provided through the state Job Development Investment Grant as well as local Charlotte Mecklenburg support and we look forward to strengthening our connection with this great community,” said Mark Beck, president and CEO of JELD-WEN, in a prepared statement.
Numerous organizations support JELD-WEN’s expansion, including the North Carolina General Assembly, North Carolina Community College System, Mecklenburg County, the City of Charlotte and the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce.
The Charlotte-based company operates in 25 countries with 111 manufacturing facilities located primarily in North America, Europe and Australia. JELD-WEN’s worldwide workforce totals more than 20,000 people, with 400 currently employed in North Carolina.
