Vinay Goel will serve as chief digital product officer, in charge of delivering the most up-to-date technological solutions to the company’s clients.
Former Google Head of Product Vinay Goel has joined JLL as chief digital product officer. In his new role, Goel will ensure the delivery of the latest technological solutions meant to enhance clients’ experience. He will also collaborate with the team behind JLL Spark, a global division launched in 2017, which identifies and delivers technology-driven real estate service offerings.
“Technology is creating unprecedented opportunity for organizations to unlock significant latent potential in their corporate real estate portfolios. His 30-year track record of digital innovation leadership, combined with our incredible JLL team, will accelerate our ability to deliver products and insights that help clients drive business transformation,” said John Forrest, CEO of JLL Corporate Solutions, in a prepared statement.
A game-changer
During his career, Goel held product development and management roles at companies such as Oracle, Intel, CheckPoint Software and several Silicon Valley startups. At Google, he oversaw a number of products including Google Maps, Google Apps and Google Station. Based on his past performance and understanding of the ways technology can shape the real estate industry, JLL expects that his hiring will be a “game-changer.”
“New areas such as AI, machine learning, blockchain and internet of things will have a profound effect on workspace decisions and operations. I look forward to helping shape that future,” said Goel in prepared remarks.
He holds an undergraduate degree in computer science from University of California at Berkeley and a master’s degree in management from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
