Deere & Co. continues to expand its U.S. presence with the addition of a new office in Austin, Texas. The company announced it will open its new “innovation hub” at 1333 S. Congress Ave., as a space for data scientists and engineers along with engineers specialized in embedded software, systems, computer vision and machine learning operations.

Deere & Co. says it chose Austin for its new tech hub because of the city’s diverse tech talent pipeline supported by its universities and startup communities, Andrez Carberry, director of global HR operations at John Deere, said in prepared remarks.

John Deere will occupy the upper two floors encompassing 10,000 square feet and will employ between 75 to 100 people at the location, according to Austin Inno. The new office is less than 2 miles from downtown and within a mile of St. Edward’s University.

Austin continues to draw investor interest.
